Land of ice and fire
There’s something for every type of traveler in Iceland.
Whether it’s for those who want to travel on a guided tour with coach and comfortable hotels without missing out on exciting nature activities, or for those who want to rent a car and follow a circuit with a choice of basic to deluxe hotels allowing them to trek wherever they stop. The more ‘wild’ who want to discover the most hidden corners by trekking and kayaking while camping will also be spoilt for choice by what Iceland has to offer. Each region differs slightly in culture and landscape, but all are uniquely Icelandic!
The possibilities are endless! Tours can last from 3 to 15 days, depending on the time you have available. Is Iceland expensive? Opt for an RV and cook in your own comfort. Iceland is renowned for its arid landscapes, safe country, gourmet cuisine, music concerts to literature, northern lights to midnight sun, whales to birds. There’s definitely something for everyone, all year round! What’s more, Icelanders are so welcoming in their magnificent country at the far end of the Arctic Circle.

From Keflavik International Airport, we recommend driving along the south coast of the Reykjanes Peninsula to your first night in the charming village of Hveragerdi. Overnight in Hveragerdi.

Pass the perfectly formed Eldborg crater, which looks like it belongs to the moon. You can hike into the crater to peer into its depths and discover the amazing landscape.
Throughout the day, enjoy views of the Snaefellsjokull glacier, the icy cone-shaped peak that covers a dormant volcano that last erupted in 250 AD. Keep an eye out for Kirkjufell, Iceland’s most photographed mountain.
The day ends in Stykkisholmur, a charming, environmentally-friendly town with beautiful wooden buildings originally imported from Norway in the 1800s.
